Making the Tough Decisions
As one might imply, making tough decisions is never easy. You might have pictured your life in one particular way, and within a few months, every facet of your life might share no common element from the previous life you had. And from what I've learned, getting to that point is difficult and filled with big decisions that have every right to keep you up at night. Since graduating college, I've made lots of changes, some that I still contemplate to this day. Some make me feel guilty. Some make me feel like I gave up. Some make me really happy. And some just make me wonder what it would be like if I went back, even knowing what I know now.
As I'm sitting on the threshold of a huge change in my life, I am stuck in limbo of excessive excitement for the future, and an odd desire for the past. It's difficult to move forward, knowing that you are leaving behind the last thread of the life you had originally planned for yourself.
But I am encouraged by the immense support that my friends and family have shown me, and by the faith I have in being handed an opportunity that seems to fit perfectly into my life, despite it being a nerve-wracking change that will forever alienate the past from the present.
