How To Live the Unattainable Life of a Lifestyle Blogger
Good morning from my Instagram story! I just woke up at 5 am like I do everyday. I can't believe I gained six more followers overnight. That brings my fan base to 11.6K. It's amazing that thousands of people want pictures of my smoothie bowls in their social media feeds everyday! You know, I couldn't be so optimistic without you all commenting and liking my posts.
I have so much to do today - blending smoothies, posting photos of flowers on my IKEA coffee table, and grabbing coffee with some other bloggers! Wow, it's gonna be a long day. I also need to be at work by nine and redo my bathroom and build a garden trellis.
Well, I'm off to the gym. As you know, every day I go to the cycle studio. Jill teaches my favorite class - we perform aerial yoga while doing Tabata intervals! I just love how fast it gets your heart going and your pores open right up!
I also walk the dog before I even leave the house. That's after I make his organic doggie breakfast. I roast Pooch some cauliflower and organic bacon bits that I mix with some cinnamon and probiotics. I use the ceramic wok so that there are no chemicals in his food. Our canine therapist recommends letting Pooch digest for ten minutes before we walk. Y'all should try that, too, if you're trying to get your dog on an anxiety-free diet. It's the best.
I don't drink any coffee during this time. As you know, since you tune into my hourly Instagram story updates, I am going through my tenth caffeine detox this year. I always feel so much better after these. But don't worry, I'll post some pics of an iced coffee frappe straight from my Vitamix blender in a couple of hours! I also might grab some green tea with the squad later. It's so good for you. Your pores just open right up.
Wow! What a workout. I'm famished. I think I'll eat a handful of almonds. Here's why I don't eat peanuts! I'm also going to blend that coffee now. Wait, I'm out of my favorite Peruvian coffee so we need to stop by the farmer's market. I just love this farmer's market. It only sells seasonal things and has my favorite vegetables, which are local and organic, like every other farmer's market, but it's just the best. I'm going to get some carrots with my coffee beans. I never cut these carrots up; it might release harmful energies into my body! They're great for eating on the run!
You all should check out this farmer's market even though it's only open on Tuesdays 10 AM to 12 PM and I know you all have work like me.
People always ask how I do everything or if I have a day job. Of course I do! I work 40 hours/week posting content for you all, but I also am salaried at this trendy firm downtown where I get my cityscape shots. My boss is awesome because he lets me have flexible hours. I do all my work 11-2 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. He really understands the need for self-care and passion projects.
To power through my jam-packed life, let's make some coffee! I know I drink this coffee every morning, and I always play an EDM Spotify song when I zoom in on the mason jar, but it's just the best. Delish! Remember, I don't even go to local coffee shops because my home brew is that yummy. You can't forget to add the coconut oil, the bee pollen, or the glitter. Also, don't use any product you can buy at the store. Make it all yourself! Did you know I have a glass blowing shop on my balcony for making mason jars?
What color should I paint the bathroom? Lilac? This titanium color? Maybe the Gingham filter? Did you know I can use a drill? Everyone can do what I'm doing. You just need a drill.
Also, should the garden trellis be mahogany? Maybe faux ivory? What will match the succulents best? This trellis will be an awesome backdrop when I'm holding food up in the air for my Instagram!
Gosh, all these works emails! So many meetings to go to. I like to find time between actually doing work to test new smoothie flavors. Today I think we're going to make one with sweet potato - straight from my garden, don't even wash the dirt off! - and another with chia seeds because this is a lifestyle blog after all! Haha!
Wow! Where has the time gone? I've taken a nap, run five errands to Short Pump and back, and am now waiting for the bathroom paint to dry. Despite already making five types of granola and four smoothies, I need to make some pumpkin curry before I meet up with Matt and Jackie at Raw, which is my ultimate, favorite new restaurant in Scott's Addition! Everything at Raw is raw! Even the meat! It's so healthy for you. Your pores open up just like a petunia and you feel so good after you eat there. Definitely try their ivy salad. It's made with local moss and is dairy-free! Even though I used dairy in my recipes earlier! Haha!
We made sure to grab a window seat so I have some natural lighting for all the aerial photos. Matt and Jackie know all about my blog so they don't mind as I narrate every menu decision and describe things I'm not even ordering and most people can't afford. But ohmigawd, it's so good, you have to try it! And there's no added sugar (because it's a salad)!
After lunch, I head back to my office. This turns out to be my apartment, which has a rooftop pool. Isn't it so scenic? I love to do work here. I get so much done. You all should try it! I won't mention the sun's glare on my laptop screen or how my laptop overheats and burns my thighs! Somehow while I'm doing work, I manage to write three blog posts and post some snapshots of Pooch, the sun, and some new jeans with holes in them that I grabbed in Carytown for $150! What a steal! Also, look at this brick wall! Let me take a selfie with sunglasses on!
After 15 minutes of emails, it's time to hit a local coffee shop. I know I said I prefer to make everything in my kitchen, but I need to support the local economy and show you what's out there. This chai latte wasn't free that I ordered, but it is delicious and I'm working on getting a sponsorship.
Wow. It's 4 PM. So late. I've accomplished so much today. I even chose towels to match the newly painted bathroom! Time for happy hour! I'm going to my ultimate, favorite place called Trend - it just opened downtown! They have mint juleps. I'm going to have to recreate them at home. I can probably also recreate this highball glass in my glass blowing shop.
Don't you love how the sunlight streams through the spirits? Wow, the calamari here is delish! You know I try to live a natural, vegan, holistic lifestyle, but sometimes you gotta enjoy the finer things like this calamari from the James River.
I don't know how I eat so many calories in one day and not gain an ounce - or am even hungry. It must be those aerial yoga cycle classes! Also, if it's local, it actually subtracts calories from your daily allowance. My favorite treat is a bowl of high-fat avocado ice cream They raise the cows in Chesterfield, and it's avocado, so none of it counts!
Whew, time for dinner! I'm going to stroll to the nearby Asian fusion restaurant with my significant other who I never really talk about, but like to feature on my Instagram stories. They don't have an Instagram account of their own, or at least I never tag them, because they're just a prop. At Abroad, I get another beverage called the Pocahontas after Pocahontas State Park. I also order vegetarian dumplings that I split with my nameless significant other (like I said, they're just a prop) and a meal that is so delish, but I forget to describe because I was so busy eating it, but it looks kinda small in the pics and is also probably $20 because there is decorative sauce on top of the white, square plate.
What a day! I'm home now. I hope you all had a good day too! I appreciate all of my followers! Don't forget to try out Abroad and Trend and the farmer's market! They're all the best! I'm going to bed now after I snack on this dessert I made last week on the blog. I have to be up at 5 tomorrow for some Crossfit, and I have a conference call for work that starts at 8! Life is hard!
